Frontend UI Developer

OrionVM is looking for an amazing Frontend UI Developer to work with our core development teams. You will be responsible for developing the client facing interfaces, making it a pleasure to use our platform. To be suitable for this role, you will need to be able to develop simple but effective user interfaces. You must be a strong team player, effectively utilizing both internal and external resources to produce results.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing development and maintenance of our client facing control panels and internal management interfaces. 
• Keeping our user interface simple yet powerful, and ensuring it is a joy to use. 
• Working with our systems development teams to deliver the features required within our product. 
• Developing an extensible platform to allow our future products to be slotted in easily. 
• Be a key team player, to drive a superior product forward. We don't only deliver what is required, we must exceed expectations. 

Qualifications

• Experience developing effective user interfaces. 
• Great graphics design skill, or the ability to work closely with a designer to deliver a product. 
• Strong knowledge of Server-side frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Django. 
• Experience using JS frameworks such as Backbone.js. 
• Experience building large web applications, use of REST API's, etc. 
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in relative technologies.
• Strong presentation, written communication, and development skills. 
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the a results-driven approach and the ability to operate in both team or independent roles.

Desirable

• Domain expertise in web datacenter environments with core competence in database, storage, virtualisation, and/or server technologies.
  
• Knowledge of systems development is desirable but not required. 
• Knowledge of systems administration and Linux environments is highly desirable.
